Weekly Wrap 106 Anniversary Month Giveaway

Another week in the books, and the sweltering heat and humidity continued along with chances of rain every day. Who would have thought we would have such a wet nasty summer with all the rain we had in the Spring!

Weekly Activity

Sunday – Nothing
Monday – Nothing
Tuesday – Run 3 miles
Wednesday Shoulders workout
Thursday – Run 3 miles
Friday – nothing
Saturday – 6.5 miles

I was able to run a bit longer than last week but I only managed 3 days running.

Weekly Wrap 106 Anniversary Month Giveaway

As I stated last week I am in half marathon training mode. I’m trying to build back up my miles slowly and give myself plenty of time to be half marathon ready for my October race. What was on this week’s long run plan? 6.5 miles and I wasn’t sure I could make it, but turns out I did! I even had a bit of company. My husband ran too. We did our own route but just knowing he was out there was enough for me.  He got in 3 miles. He has a bit more time to be half marathon ready than I do.

Weekly Wrap 106 Anniversary Month Giveaway

I sported my Flex It Pink “Challenge Your Limits” Tank I got in last month’s subscription box. I was featured by Flex It Pink on Instagram on Saturday. So I’m returning the love. They offer a monthly box with some great motivational tanks or t-shirts, I tell you these tanks are awesome and the sayings are spot on! They also host virtual runs that benefit charities so hey you are doing what you love and supporting some awesome charities! Do check them out at Flex It Pink!

What is Flex it Pink?

Strength/power + women= FLEX it PINK. Flex it Pink is a community of women supporting each other to achieve their goals.

“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.”

So that wraps up my week.

What monthly subscriptions do you get? Ever heard of Flex it Pink?

  5. I can’t remember, will this be your husband’s first half? I remember how proud you were of him when he ran his first race, but can’t remember the distance. Either way, how exciting!

As always, thanks for the linkup!

    • You are right Deb. Yes it will be his first half. It’s been a long time coming. I knew if I waved the right race in front of him I’d get him to bite. Vegas was it.

  6. A 6.5-mile run is nice progress! You’ve just started training and are already over halfway there. 🙂

  10. Congrats on your 6.5 mile run. I’m struggling with motivation to run long this summer … I hadn’t heard of Flex It Pink – sounds like a neat organization.

  11. 6.5 miles is great!! I was injured and am just back into running – I did 4 miles today but haven’t gotten in any longer runs in so long! Getting back into it slowly is smart, but I know how frustrating it is!

  14. Hey, you ran 3 times and got a long run in, so focus on what you did do rather than what you didn’t do, I guess. That bracelet is super cute.

Thank you guys for doing the linkup, and yes, it does hold me accountable and introduces me to some cool blogs!

I love following you. I’m hoping to rain into you if your going to run the Mississippi gulf coast marathon this year. I was there last year and loved it.

  19. All the best with half marathon training! 3 runs/week is all I ever do so you won’t get any criticism from me. How nice to run with your hubby!
Marcia recently posted…Injury Update and Some Goodness TooMy Profile

    • You know Marcia I’m a bit wishy washy on if I should run 3 or 4 days. Some weeks I just need only 3. I think I’ll try not to be so demanding on my body this time around.

  20. I love the look of that bracelet! 3 days of running is great! Slow and steady training build up is perfect 🙂

  21. Nice work! I never heard of Flex It Pink but I love that tank! I’ll check them out. What a great giveaway!! I can’t believe the Weekly Wrap is 2 years old already 🙂

  23. Nice job on the runs. I’ve been maintaining my base, but I need to push a little bit this weekend since I have a 5k on the 26th. After that, it’ll be time to start training for Vegas.

  24. The tank looks super cute on you 🙂
I am so happy hubby is continuing the running fun with you! That is fun he is getting in the action more and he is sticking with it 🙂 I would be so excited.
    You will ready by Fall!
I am in love with the leisure loop!

  25. Cute shirt! I love subscription boxes but i have so many darn t-shirts and tanks that I would prefer samples of products like the Stride box.

  26. Yes! I always feel like I need to jump in, I feel bad when I miss linking up.

  27. That long run is a great base for training! I just love that your husband runs with you! I can’t ever get mine to even try! LOL He referees and says he gets paid to run and that’s all the running he will do.

  28. Which half marathon will you be doing?

I don’t have a subscription box either. Don’t want to spend the money. I’d rather spend it on shoes. 🙂

  29. Sounds like a good week! That’s great your husband ran part of your 6.5 miles with you! I miss running with my husband. It’s hard for us to run at the same time due to the kiddos, that and he doesn’t like running as much as I do! 🙂 Super cute tank!!

  30. Postpartum running hasn’t been the greatest but, as co-worker pointed out, I created a human with my body. I really need to honour that 😉

  31. Sounds like a great week! I’ve never heard of flex it pink before. The only subscription box I’m getting now is birchbox since it was a gift from a friend.
Chaitali recently posted…Heart Rate Training Week 11My Profile

  32. I haven’t heard of Flex it pink and I don’t do any subscription boxes. Which doesn’t mean I don’t buy stuff . . . good job getting out there & getting it done in that nasty heat! You’re looking great.
