Weekly Wrap 106 Anniversary Month Giveaway

Another week in the books, and the sweltering heat and humidity continued along with chances of rain every day. Who would have thought we would have such a wet nasty summer with all the rain we had in the Spring!

Weekly Activity

Sunday – Nothing
Monday – Nothing
Tuesday – Run 3 miles
Wednesday Shoulders workout
Thursday – Run 3 miles
Friday – nothing
Saturday – 6.5 miles

I was able to run a bit longer than last week but I only managed 3 days running.

As I stated last week I am in half marathon training mode. I’m trying to build back up my miles slowly and give myself plenty of time to be half marathon ready for my October race. What was on this week’s long run plan? 6.5 miles and I wasn’t sure I could make it, but turns out I did! I even had a bit of company. My husband ran too. We did our own route but just knowing he was out there was enough for me.  He got in 3 miles. He has a bit more time to be half marathon ready than I do.

    • You are right Deb. Yes it will be his first half. It’s been a long time coming. I knew if I waved the right race in front of him I’d get him to bite. Vegas was it.

  11. 6.5 miles is great!! I was injured and am just back into running – I did 4 miles today but haven’t gotten in any longer runs in so long! Getting back into it slowly is smart, but I know how frustrating it is!

    • You know Marcia I’m a bit wishy washy on if I should run 3 or 4 days. Some weeks I just need only 3. I think I’ll try not to be so demanding on my body this time around.

  23. Nice job on the runs. I’ve been maintaining my base, but I need to push a little bit this weekend since I have a 5k on the 26th. After that, it’ll be time to start training for Vegas.

  27. That long run is a great base for training! I just love that your husband runs with you! I can’t ever get mine to even try! LOL He referees and says he gets paid to run and that’s all the running he will do.
