Welcome to the Weekly Wrap Link Up,ย hosted by my friend, Holly from Hoho Runs and myself. Weekly Wrap is aย supportive community of women where you are encouraged to link up your own blog post, include anything you did to be active. This link is open Sunday at 5PM CST through Wednesday. It is a great place to hold yourself accountable each week, gain group support and motivate you to reach your goals. I do hope you will join in and help support some of the linkers later in the week by visiting their blog and don’t forget to leave a comment. I sometimes take well into the week but I look forward to catching up each week with each of you.

Weekly Wrap

If you are reading this Sunday, Happy Easter to you, if not, I hope you had a great Day!

I thought this week was surely going to be better than last week, but I’m afraid it didn’t start out that way. I had a Runfessions post that wasn’t much like my style of writing but I felt like I needed to get some things off my chest. Ok, it looks like we’ve beat this horse to death. Moving on….

Activity Summary

SUNDAY – 2.7 miles with my daughter, fence work outside, 18,200 steps
MONDAY – PT lunges & squats, oh my! 2.8 miles 15,500 steps
TUESDAY – Ran 1 slow mile before work. Walked 1.5-2 miles with the Family and I was so sore this afternoon. 11,100 steps
WEDNESDAY – Back to PT with Ab and shoulder work. Ran 1 mile with the family 14,500 steps
THURSDAY – 2.80 miles, part with my daughter. Really needed this run today after work. 10,500 steps
FRIDAY – Ran 1 mile before work. 13,100 steps
SATURDAY – 7.5+/- mile run then walked another 2 miles while Mr. Sippi ran. 27,300 steps

As you can see my runstreak is still going and it was fairly easy this week. The habit is really taking hold. I’m also happy to report my family is still in 5k training and with just 4 weeks until our race together they are doing great! It does make it so much easier to get in my runs with both Mr. Sippy and my daughter wanting to run. This is great yall!!!

This week also continued our movie watching streak as well. Friday night we watched Selfless a movie Holly told me about which we really enjoyed. I rented it through Amazon Prime. Then on Saturday night, we watched two movies. Daddy’s Home was one of them. It had a few “stupid-funny” parts but hey it had Mark Wahlberg so all is well!

weekly wrap 34 Easter

The second movie we watched was one I had seen before, 21 Jump Street withย Channing Tatum again I am not a fan of stupid funny movies but I am a fan of eye-candy! #noshame

I am two weeks out from my next half so I needed to get in a longer run this weekend. I gave in to peer-pressure from these two and made myself get up to meet them early Saturday morning. I am so very glad I did because #1 – I always feel better after a run and #2 running with friends is awesome! I see Tammy on a regular basis, you do know she is my trainer at the gym, right? But Leah, I don’t get to see her enough so I always enjoy running with her.

weekly wrap 34 easter

Mr. Sippi worked some today so after my run I went to Chick-fil-a and had some mini chick’n biscuits. Man, oh man these things are so delicious! Have you ever had them?

I then was on a mission to find me an Easter dress. Yes, I have not been in much of a mood to shop for dresses here lately and well time was running out so today was my last chance. I also knew since I got out running errands on Friday that the later I went the worse it would be. Luckily I found one that would do.

I piddled around town some more and then headed home. Mr. Sippy made it home shortly after me and he wanted to go run so I went with him but I only walked. We stopped off at a local pizza place, a favorite of ours for and early dinner.

Easter

I got up early, knowing I wanted to go ahead and get my 1-mile slow run out of the way early. This was a great decision because the rest of the afternoon was a soaker! I enjoyed the solemness this morning and reflected on the meaning of today in my faith. I had a few minutes to myself to enjoy my cup of coffee before the family was awake and rushing to get ready for church.

After church, a change of family plans, had us in town eating lunch. Don’t you just love last minute change of plans…..? My daughter went with her boyfriend so I did not get a picture with her. ๐Ÿ™

weekly wrap 34 easter

I’m cutting this post, Weekly Wrap 34 Easter edition off here. We’ve got our second major eating of the day coming up. I wonder who is going to roll me home?

Did you celebrate Easter? How? Was food involved? What was your favorite?

This was a topic on another blog post I read earlier, I’m sorry I don’t remember who’s. Is it just a Southern Easter tradition to have a new dress for Church on this day? ย If this applies to you, tell me below.

I do hope it is a great week for everyone coming up.

I am also supporting a Monday linkup called #MotivateMe Monday, hosted byย Lucie @

Janice @ย Fitness Cheerleaderย and

Rachel @ย Running Rachel. Thank you,

Thank you, Lucie, for your support last week and to Janice for your support in the past.

  4. I really like when I can convince my husband to run with me. He only runs during two seasons, if at all. Luckily spring is one of his times so we’ve been training together at least once a week for the past few weeks. It’s so nice to get quality time AND my scheduled run! Unrelated: I’m going to have to check out those first two movies. Have a good week!

I didn’t get to do anything for Easter. ๐Ÿ™ My husband had a house that had to be finished by tomorrow, so we painted all day.

  11. A lot of us northern folk get new Easter dresses (I’m just not one of them LOL). I forgot to mention in my blog that I got a dress for myself on my shopping adventure with the daughters yesterday. Mind you, I’m not much of a dress person (too much of a commitment),but I do like skirts because I hate wearing the same “outfit” twice and am always mixing and matching (hard to do that with a dress). (you asked) ๐Ÿ˜‰
Kim Hatting recently posted…Wrapping up Easter week in IowaMy Profile

    • Well you do have a point about wearing skirts and mixing and matching so much! I hardly ever wear skirts maybe because I’m not good with finding things that go together. I do know I have to be in the mood to shop and this past weekend I was not! Hence waiting until Saturday to find my dress. Talk about pressure! ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Sounds like your week was better. I think it is great that your daughter and husband are running. I so would like my husband to train for a 5K. He runs one day for 20 minutes then complains for the next week how hard it was and how much he hates it and doesn’t “run” again for another month. Then repeats the same scenario ! LOL

My daughter had a gymnastic meet on Easter so we didn’t do anything. Seriously ? In a country where the population is 95% Catholic and Easter is a big deal ? So we went to the meet, because of course it is an hour away… and it took up pretty much the whole day.

Congrats on your run streak, keep it up ! I am impressed !

    • That trend is making it’s way to the bible belt. I think back I remember when it was just unacceptable for a woman to wear pants to church. I’m so glad times have changed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m still full from this weekend. My family did Easter dinner early on Saturday so everyone could make it. Then a big post Church breakfast on Sunday, then I drove to the BF’s & had Easter dinner with their family.

As a resident of the South, yes… Easter traditions and dresses are huge here. Now, a lot of it depends on where you are down South- in the more conservative/traditional areas it’s all about church and dresses, Lilly, etc. I live in Charleston, and we have plenty of people here who dress up for Easter… but then you have those who show up to church wearing t-shirts and jeans too. And, despite being known as the “Holy City”, there’s also a LOT of people around here, my husband and myself included, who don’t attend church even on holidays- and that’s also very accepted. Now the town where I used to live… everyone went to church… especially on Easter… and you had a new dress, or else. Small town problems!
