Weekly Wrap 81 Repeat

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap 81 Repeat. I’m calling this Replay because much of my week hasn’t been all that different from last week. Hey, I am not complaining either. Think you may get bored? Hang tight with me over the next 6, yes count them all; weeks and I’ll pretty much be in a different place each weekend.

But first Coffee, no no I’ve already had my coffee, how about… THANK YOU for joining us for the Weekly Wrap. This link up is to keep us all accountable in our active life. Training for a race? Just trying to keep active?? Recapping a race or a fun weekend? We want to support you in whatever you do!

We continue to have new linkers each week. How about making it a point to visit someone you don’t follow. I appreciate those of you who take the time to join us. You may link up your posts with us, Holly from HoHo Runs and myself here at MissSippiPiddlin each week.

Weekly Wrap 81 Repeat

My Weekly Workout Summary, goes something like this:

Weekly Wrap 81 Repeat

Another active week for me. It was very hard to sit still last Sunday. The weather here was beautiful and I got out and rode my bike twice, kayaked and walked around the campground quite a bit. I made both my strength training sessions and even had two focused runs during the week.

Mr. Sppi and I met up again with Tammy for our Saturday run. I’m so proud of him he’s run on his own twice this week too.

More from this week:

Boy, has it been a long work week. The hours at work seemed to just drag on and while my time after work flew by! We are still enjoying camping this week and several nights I got to sit out by the fire. The hubs did really good for Valentine’s Day too where he surprised me with roses and chocolate covered strawberries then treated me to dinner and a movie.

Coming Up:

As I said the next 6 weeks are going to be full of racing and fun in different places. We’re going to stick close to home next weekend for a day trip to run a 10k for a good cause. After that Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, AL  half’s are both in sight. I hope you’ll follow me and see where all I’ll end up.

I’m going to wrap it up right here because it’s once again beautiful weather and I’m likely outside enjoying it!

Mild where you are? Have you seen any signs of Spring? The Japanese Magnolia trees here have already bloomed and have green leaves on them.

How much Valentine’s candy is still left at your house?

Will I see you at any of my upcoming races?

Cheers,
Tr!c!@

  1. It’s funny how time at work drags and time at home flies by, isn’t it? 🙂

    Those strawberries look amazing!

    Thanks for the linkup!

  2. Ooh those strawberries are my fave! How fun to be in a different place for the next few weekends. Hope I have a chance to get out on the water this summer at some point. Love all of your kayak pics. Thanks for the link up and have a great week

  3. Oooh I’ll say Mr. Sippi did very well with those treats! I got the most delicious coffee/toffee/chocolate (just enough coffee in it to keep the kids away) and gorgeous flowers from the Caveman. It has been gorgeous here! It’s weird to have it so warm and yet so brown at the same time. Thanks for the linkup!

    • Ha that is a good thing, I may have intentionally left my Chocolate covered strawberries at work one day so I could enjoy them before others ate them up!
The brown is slowly being replaced with sprigs of green here. I’m afraid when we get that last freeze it’ll die though.

  4. No candy. Mr. Judy knows better! You’ve seen my IG — way too early for spring up here, but it was still warm by our standards today AND the sun was shining — I’ll take it!

    What movie did you see?

  5. We had a taste of spring this weekend and it was so nice! I threw out the last of the candy yesterday because neither of us really liked it. Usually my time at work feels like forever but I have been so busy lately that the days just fly by- I guess thats a good thing but I wish I had more time after work to relax!

  6. It’s too early for any signs of spring but I won’t lie–I loved the warm weather we’ve been having. This is unheard of for Chicago in February!

  8. I got some roses as well for Valentine’s Day. My roommate got some chocolate covered strawberries and I had one. They were delicious! It was a beautiful weekend here but I feel like it is just a tease because next weekend it will probably be freezing again.

  9. Well, our weather definitely made a turn for the warm this week (by Iowa standards). My magnolia tree has buds…and I’m hoping they don’t bloom any time soon because we all know Iowa has not seen the last of winter. UGH. But the sunshine and heavenly temps have been awesome!

  10. I must admit… hubby and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. Those strawberries look awesome and I’m loving he kayaks pics! I can’t wait until MN cabin season to get back on the water!

  15. My husband is not big into Valentine’s day as before he met me, he had some really bad ones… but this year he did buy me a bag of Starbursts..which I love and I still have half the bad since I didn’t tell my kids about it 🙂 then we butchered a pig together. so romantic right 😉
The weather here this week was heavenly! some serious melting of snow went on.
Great job to your husband with Valentine’s day! Can’t wait to follow your fun and travels for the next 6 weeks.

  18. We had chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine’s Day too! I’m glad you had a good week and maybe it was good that it was uneventful since you’ll be travelling so much over the next few weeks. Love that you had great weather and got to share a run with friends too.

  19. I love with the weather is nice and you literally cannot sit still! Ironically my friend and I planned a movie outing for this weekend (because it’s February and supposed to be winter) and it was in the 60’s! We were sad to be sitting inside on such a nice day, but we were excited to see Newsies on the big screen!
Thankfully no Valentine’s candy around the house since I’m on a bit of a sugar break. I have a huge sweet tooth, but I’m trying to break that habit!

  20. I received fresh cut flowers and dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant. Mr. Sippi did GOOD. It’s also wonderful he seems to have caught the running bug. My nose can attest to the fact that our tree pollen is already high. I love seeing the Japanese Magnolias bloom. They are always first and a sure sign everything else will follow shortly. Six weeks? I’m tired just thinking about that. LOL.

  21. Love the sandals you’re wearing in the kayak, super cute!

I wanted to get out & ride my bike this weekend, but the MR. doesn’t have a bike, so if it comes down to biking or hiking, hiking usually wins since we can both join in. Still hoping I’ll get a bike ride in this week before the warm weather goes away.

    Thanks for hosting!

  22. I don’t do Valentine’s Day, so no candy, but I still have 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to get through. I’m trying to be good and not obliterate the boxes in one go. I haven’t needed to buy cookies at the store because I have plenty to eat.

  23. It’s definitely spring-like here… (of course our whole winter has been like that). Our flowers are blooming – I heard on the radio this morning that the bluebonnets have already started to come out.

  24. My husband tried to be the best dad ever this valentines day. A local Kmart is going out of business and the entire store was 80%off. he came home with basketfuls of toys and candy, priding himself on getting a steal of a deal …BUT when we were unloading it from the truck he realized that everything he got was EASTER stuff…so our kids got easterbaskets for valentines day, lol!!!! Maybe a new tradition just started?
anyways GREAT week with the running and workouts! great job that your husband got out and ran this week as well! I’m looking forward to reading about these next 6 weeks for you. I know it will be busy for you but also know you will have an awesome time!!

  26. We finally had warm weather this weekend and it makes such a difference in my energy levels and desire to exercise! Your husband did awesome- chocolate covered strawberries are one of my favorites.

  27. I have been loving the beautiful weather we’ve been having – would love to try kayaking in my area!

  28. Your hubs did do well! Those chocolate covered strawberries look delicious and roses are always wonderful 🙂

It’s looking very Spring-like here lately. The temps have been in the 40’s to 50’s turning our town into a icy, sloppy mess! Sadly I don’t think this warm weather will stick around for long but I have enjoyed a glimpse of Spring. I would love to go kayaking right now. Like today!!!

  29. That is so awesome that you have gotten your husband into running! I keep asking mine, and he keeps saying no. He said he would rather wait at the finish line for me than run a race. Lol He did good with those strawberries! They look delicious. Have a great week and enjoy this nice weather!

  34. My girls received too many sweets from exchanging Valentines in school. I’m one of the moms that didn’t bother including candy with the card since I knew there were going to be plenty. Lucky for me, my girls know their limits so we have a big bag filled with candy still from Halloween and the holidays!

You have a lot of races lined up and it looks like you had another great week!
