Weekly Wrap 98 Still Floating

This week I’d like to welcome Tara as our Guest Host series continues.  Tara shares her life with us over at Run and Live Happy. Please stop by and visit her to show appreciation for being our host this week!  You can even link up from her blog!

Holly and I may be taking a much-needed break but we are not lagging. Did you see what all Holly did while in Utah other than run a half marathon?   If you’d like to be a part of the Guest Host series let us know.

Weekly Wrap 98 Still Floating

As you can see I’m still keeping with the water theme. The first week was “Thow me a Rope” as I felt like I was sinking fast. I followed that up with “Treading Water“, where it seemed to get a little better. This week it’s not better nor worse but I am still afloat!

Weekly Activity

Despite my long weekend, I was able to get in some activity!

Sunday – Run/Walk 3 Miles
Monday – Run 2.61 Miles and Leg day
Tuesday – Run 3 Miles
Wednesday – Run 1 mile, Shoulders at the gym
Thursday – Rest
Friday – Run 2.44 Miles
Saturday – Run 3 miles

I got in a decent amount of sweat exercise this week. Don’t let the miles fool you, my paces are not much more than a shuffle but it gets me out there and the blood pumping even at a crawl.

The weekend

Unlike the last few weekends, this one, I was back home and tackling the house and yard, two things we’ve neglected since camping. I may have a few fun-filled trips up my sleeve so it had to be THIS weekend!

Are you one who likes home projects? I always feel better after I’ve cleaned something out or up but I really don’t like it much.

  3. I don’t like home improvement projects – I’d much rather spend my time running, relaxing, reading, baking, blogging, etc. There’s always so much to do! Great job getting in all those miles this week.

  4. Glad to hear you’re still afloat!

I actually love home projects and usually am at my happiest while tackling one or two, but then I’m sort of a home body so that kind of makes sense.

    Thanks for the linkup!

    • Nothing wrong with that Deb. I’m wish I could say I’m enjoying the blogging break but it’s sort of a necessity right now til I can get this other job sailing smoothly.

  5. Great job getting those miles in while busy! I’m not a home projects person really. I need to tend to our backyard. It’s a jungle right now lol.

  6. I always feel accomplished when i do something productive in the house but I hate wasting the weekends doing that stuff. I usually save it for if we have a 3 days weekend or a random day off or something. Great job getting in your workouts despite the heat!

  7. I love a good home project especially when it is done! LOL! It is evil but we have to get those house chores done sometime! My miles are slow and soupy too- nothing lightening fast here! I took a recovery week and I am not feeling bad about it! 🙂

    • You so deserve that after your half!!! You did awesome. Are you going to relax a bit til time to think about Fall racing?

  8. I may have tackled some yardwork myself yesterday, although it’s nowhere near complete. Hope you’re enjoying your summer!
Marcia recently posted…Why Am I So Dog Tired? My Profile

    • Thanks Marcia I feel so disconnected from the blogging world. Maybe it won’t be too much longer and I can get back in the swing of things.

  9. You are still getting out there and cracking a nice sweat 🙂 I hope you are enjoying your blogging break!

  10. Its hard to maintain a fast pace during the summer with how high the temperatures and humidity get. Kudos to you for getting out there and getting your sweat on!

  11. I love home projects! Right now i’m getting antsy cus I want a room painted and I haven’t heard back from the painter as to when he can fit me in!

    • Goodness I know the feeling. My. Hubs is a painter and I’m sure glad cause I hate paint projects. Now getting home to do it is a different story lol

  12. Boy does my yard need help. I tried to convince the hubs to stay home and weed with me. Nope, off to the boat, we went.

    Maybe next weekend…or not!

    • I am quite positive yours couldn’t have been as bad as mine. We have to do things that arn’t so fun every once in awhile. We’re still on the hunt for a boat. ?

  13. It hot and humid out there. We’re all shuffling right now! Ha! Good job getting through another week. I like home projects…in theory. In reality, I tend to call in help. Maybe if I had more time, I’d do them, but I find I’m maxed out right now and home projects aren’t at the top of my priority list at the moment.

    • It had to be bad to call in the troops and get it done this weekend for me. I can let a lot slide but it had to be done!

  14. Shuffle or not, you still got out there and ran in the heat when you didn’t have to, and that says a lot. Great job this week!

  15. I love that we all got our decent amounts of sweat this week!! Yay for summer!!

I need to buckle down and do some much deserved house cleaning, but summer gets on the way of that!!

  16. For floating, you did a great job being active! When things seem a little crazy, I always like to have fitness to keep me sane. 🙂

  17. I like having home projects done, but how much I like doing them depends on the project…plus my work style is getting things done in one fell swoop if possible, so I’m usually trying to carve out a big chunk of time to get the thing done.

  18. I’m glad life is slowing down for you, even if it is only slightly! Treading water beats drowning 🙂 You’re getting those workouts in and a sweat session always helps the stress. Home projects… I like seeing them accomplished but I have a hard time actually getting them started! We just got new windows in the upstairs of our house and, two weeks later, I’m still dusting and cleaning things up. The mess just keeps returning!

  19. I’m not a fan of yard work. Mostly because I have no idea what I’m doing and I feel like I get in the way.

You’ve been so busy. I think you’re doing a great job getting a few miles in every couple of days!

  20. I’m with you, not a fan of home projects. But it sounds like you’ve gotten a lot done! And with this Summer heat, my pace has been barely more than a shuffle as well but I figure getting out there at all is a win this time of year 🙂

  21. Sounds like you’ve been really busy! But, you did a good job of getting in some miles! I like to get stuff cleaned out or fixed up, but I don’ t really enjoy actually doing it. I would like to just hire someone to do it for me! LOL I hope you have a great week and I can’t wait to see what you have planned next!

  22. Sounds like a good week! I’m not a fan of home projects either as I’d rather be doing something fun but you’re right, they need to be done!

  23. Ugh, after just having spent all weekend AND going back on Tuesday to finish dragging all the “crap” that we had left in the attic and basement of our Meridian home back to a storage building here in Madison …I would have to say NO, I hate home projects, cleaning and organizing! 🙂 I’m so sick of “moving”! But we are scheduled to close on our house next Friday so that is an answer to prayers and a definite blessing.

Glad to hear you are still floating and hope #tropicalstormcindy doesn’t get in the way of some much needed “floating” on the water with friends this weekend! 🙂
